2020 Food Festivals For Foodies

We love festivals in all shapes and sizes, whether it is a music festival, food festival or even a car festival, any celebration of human diversity and performance is a winner in our book.

Music festivals have made a sizable leap forward recently when it comes to the food options.

There was a time when the only nourishment you could get at a music festival was beer, chips and burgers.

Now however, the food stalls that can be seen at any major event are almost acts in the festivals themselves.

There is a whole host of different cuisines, ranging from all corners of the world, with choices to suit all tastes.

But if food is your thing, then you can now go along to festivals that are centred around good eating.

These festivals are much like any other festivals, except the curation revolves around the food stalls rather than the music acts.

There are usually some music stages and other performances going on, but these are generally side acts to the food stalls that everyone comes for.

Ok so let’s have a look at some of the most exciting food festivals that are happening this year in 2020.

Obsession 2020

Northcote’s annual food fest is the first to kick it off this year, with an epic 17 days of fun and food.  It will run from 24th January to 9th February and will feature 24 Michelin starred chefs including James Martin and Rick Stein.

Scottish Wild Food Festival

Next on the list is this hands on festival set in the Cardross Estate in Scotland on the 9th May.  It offers visitors to take part in foraging, walks, crafting and wild food demonstrations.

Pub in the Park

This festival is a great crossover event for music and food lovers, with equal attention being given to both.  This year it will attract some 250,000 visitors and headline acts such as Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight and Will Young, with a first class food line up with demonstrations and master classes.
